IPS principal for the day, second grade student, Oakes!

Mr Dave is off today as well… Cam is Mr Dave for the day! He helped run the fire drill, test out some of the cool equipment, and even had the opportunity to sit on Mr Dave’s bike!

Power is back on at IPS!

IPS families,
We wanted to let you know that IPS does not have power at the moment. We are working with the power company to restore it.
If you need to reach anyone at IPS, please call central office at 216-642-5850.
We are finishing our day as usual. Buses will not be impacted at dismissal.
Thank you!

Good luck to our IMS 7th-grade Power of the Pen writers (Nicole Mehosky, Marian Carlisle, and Sehajveer Rai), who have qualified for the state competition at Ashland University today!
UPDATE! Marian made it to the 4th and final round of writing!

Today, thanks to the hard work of Mr. Dave and Mr. Foster, the IPS fourth-grade outdoor mural has been successfully installed! This project will allow students to leave their mark with a beautiful mural that will brighten our courtyard for many years to come.

On Friday, May 3, Independence High School's students and staff had the opportunity to honor Cinco de Mayo with an authentic Mexican lunch. The school's talented cafeteria staff member, Selma Pruchinski, who moved to the United States from Mexico a few years ago, shared her culinary expertise by preparing an authentic Mexican lunch menu, made entirely from scratch. "The celebration of Cinco de Mayo provides a unique opportunity to learn about the history, traditions, and contributions of the Mexican community and experience and appreciate the rich flavors and traditions of Mexican cuisine," said Service Manager Francine Kane. The students’ favorite dish was the chicken quesadilla!
