The City of Independence is offering a FREE Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Training for adults on Saturday, March 29, from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Independence Civic Center (6363 Selig Drive, Independence, OH, 44131).
This nationally recognized program teaches participants how to recognize signs of mental health and substance use challenges, provide initial support, and connect individuals with appropriate resources. The training is open to all adults in the Independence community, including parents, coaches, first responders, school personnel, business professionals, and faith-based leaders.
“Mental health is just as important as physical health,” said organizers from INDYAlive! and MHFA Collaborative. “By learning how to respond effectively, we can make a real difference in the lives of those around us.”
The training is free, but registration is required. Interested participants can sign up online at www.independenceohio.org or call 216-524-7373 for more information.
Don't miss this opportunity to gain life-saving skills and support mental wellness in our community!
