Independence Local Schools is hosting an Indy Family First Night on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. The district first started these family nights in 2018 and looks forward to offering this opportunity for families to have an evening of no homework, no studying for tests, no athletic practices or games, and no club meetings or school activities. After 5 p.m., students and staff are encouraged to only focus on connecting with their families.
“"Life can get so busy - and normally with really good things! Yet we still can miss that time to connect. We hope your family is able to put down the technology, have a night off from homework and practice, and enjoy dinner, game night, quality time, and just being together,” said Superintendent Ben Hegedish, Independence Local Schools.
The district encourages families to give them feedback on how they can help to make this a more regular investment in their family life.
