The Independence Local Schools’ Athletic Boosters hosted their 2025 Reverse Raffle on Saturday, April 5, raising an impressive $18,500 in support of student athletes.
Held at the Independence Civic Center, the event offered multiple ticket options. An $80 ticket included dinner and entry to the main board, while a $60 ticket provided dinner-only access. The evening’s grand prize was $1,500, with additional entertainment including side boards, themed baskets, and a live auction.
A highlight of this year's raffle was the opportunity to bid on front row graduation seating—an exciting addition that drew strong interest from families.
Guests enjoyed a festive night filled with dinner, drinks, and numerous chances to win prizes, all while supporting middle and high school athletic programs in the Independence Local Schools.
The Boosters were more than excited to report a profit for the evening that well exceeded their original goal of $15,000. They raised just over $18,500—a record-breaking total that surpassed the previous high by nearly $5,000. The event also saw record attendance.
“The support from the community has been amazing, and we are extremely grateful,” organizers said.
The successful fundraiser provided vital financial support for the district’s athletic programs, helping to enhance experiences and opportunities for student athletes across the board.
