The Independence High School JustWrite team achieved a remarkable milestone on Saturday, January 18, when they were crowned grand champions of the 2025 Cloverleaf Regional Tournament.
Competing against 16 Northeast Ohio schools, the team not only secured top honors but also made history by having every single team member qualify for the state competition on May 20.
"This is the first time in our district's history that all writers qualified," said coach Jill Wagner, expressing her pride and excitement. "It has been an honor to coach these talented and kind young wordsmiths!"

JustWrite Ohio, an interscholastic program and competition for high school students, showcased the exceptional writing talents of participating schools, with Independence High School emerging as a standout performer.
