Congratulations to the IHS JustWrite teams for another successful creative writing tournament!
Varsity writers: Casey Adams, Chloe Firrell, Alana Nowak, Maggie Panichi, Callia Shumay, and Reece Wright
JV writers: Matthew Liepert, Tatiana Randjelovic, and Mae Sheehan
Chloe Firrell won 6th place overall at the state tournament. She placed 6th of 125 writers! This was her final competitive-writing tournament and first individual medal! Bravo to her!
Alana Nowak placed 11th of 125 writers, and literally ran off to compete in the IHS track meet immediately following her win! Congratulations!
Another impressive statistic is that SEVEN IHS writers scored #1 on their stories at the tournament! They placed FIRST in their round of writing!
Each IHS writer has earned an individual writing medal, whether it be for a creative story or poem, or a team trophy. Many began their competitive writing journey in Power of the Pen at IMS!
