The IHS Marching Band is hosting their “Sounds of the Stadium”performance TODAY at IHS Alumni Stadium at 3:00 p.m. The band will be showing off what they learned all season. Admission is some non-perishable canned foods for their food drive. Very affordable! Hope to see you there!

This regional program offers arts education opportunities throughout the school year and culminates with the Dazzle Awards showcase on May 20, 2023. Awards are presented to outstanding musical theater productions and students in 12 categories, including Best Musical, Best Actor/Actress, Best Student Orchestra, Best Costume Design and Best Scenic Design. Independence High School earned a nomination in 2 categories last year!

In addition to launching a new website, Independence Local Schools has launched a new mobile app to help parents, students and community members know what is happening at school from their phones. Most families use their phones as a primary means of communication, so we've created an app that is custom-built to our schools for smartphones. On the app, you can read the latest announcements, locate staff contact information, review upcoming events, and find important documents.
