Chase Manelski is a senior at Independence High School and is enrolled in Cuyahoga Valley Career Center's Heating & Air Conditioning program instructed by Mr. Schoeffler. Chase has always been mechanically inclined, and wanted to learn skills that would always be useful in an ever-changing world. Chase has enjoyed the troubleshooting element of the program, as it provides skills that he can use universally in other areas like the electronics or mechanics of a vehicle. Having to remember the very specific details and measurements when dealing with sheet metal can be a challenge; however, Chase has done a great job working through it! Chase appreciates the opportunity to meet other students from various districts at CVCC as he feels it has expanded his network and connections.
Outside of academics, Chase is involved with football and wrestling at Independence High School. He also works for the local pipefitters union doing services on freezers and refrigeration units. In his free time, Chase enjoys snowboarding and fishing. Looking ahead, Chase hopes to stay in the pipefitters union and continue having a successful career in the HVAC trade.
