On December 11, Independence High School celebrated the achievements of four talented student-athletes who committed to continuing their academic and athletic careers at prestigious universities. The Signing Day event honored students who have worked tirelessly to excel both in the classroom and on their respective playing fields.
Sam Crooks will continue his baseball journey at Ashland University, bringing his skills and passion to the Eagles' program. Dominic Narduzzi and Andrew Stamp will both join the Walsh University baseball team, representing the Blue Streaks with the same determination they've shown at Independence High School. Evan McNamara will take his swimming talents to Northern Kentucky University, where he'll compete for the Norse.
“This milestone represents more than just athletic achievement,” said Principal Mike Janatovich, Independence High School. “These students have demonstrated exceptional commitment to their sports while maintaining academic excellence, earning the opportunity to represent their high school at the collegiate level.”
Additional seniors will be recognized during a spring signing ceremony, highlighting the continued success of Independence High School's athletic program in preparing students for future academic and athletic opportunities.
These four athletes join a proud tradition of Independence High School students who have successfully transitioned to collegiate sports, serving as inspirational role models for younger students in the school's athletic programs.
