On December 3 Independence Primary School welcomed local heroes with four legs as trained police K9 dogs visited the school. These K9 dogs recently graduated from their six-week canine school. In a collaborative effort with the Independence Police Department, students had a unique opportunity to meet and interact with these remarkable canine officers.
The educational event allowed children to learn about the important roles these skilled animals play in law enforcement while enjoying a fun, engaging experience. Students got an up-close look at the training, skills, and teamwork between police officers and their loyal K9 companions, making for an unforgettable and inspiring school day.
